The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has called for strict legal action against India’s Got Latent host Samay Raina and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia following massive backlash over a recent episode. The controversy erupted after Ranveer made an inappropriate remark on the show, sparking outrage across social media.
AICWA Condemns the Controversy
Ranveer Allahbadia, widely known for his podcasting, found himself at the center of a storm after his appearance on India’s Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina. During the members-only episode, Ranveer posed a shocking question to a contestant:
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”
The statement drew widespread criticism, with netizens calling it distasteful and inappropriate. Following the backlash, Ranveer issued a video apology, admitting his mistake:
“I shouldn’t have said what I did on India’s Got Latent. I’m sorry. My comment was not just inappropriate—it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m here to apologise.”
